Several dozen local children enjoyed a series of crafts and activities outside the Hinsdale History Museum on Aug. 12. Organized by the Hinsdale Historical Society, this was the third such outdoor event open to the community this summer. Each event was structured around a different theme, ranging from patriotism for the gathering to trains for the last. At the Aug. 12 event, kids had the opportunity to furnish an assortment of train-related crafts, and play bags and various other yard games in the park adjacent to the museum. Children also enjoyed snacks and refreshments courtesy of volunteers from the historical society and National Charity League.
